Estel Pluss AS 10th Anniversary!

On May 18th 2004 Estel Pluss AS marks its 10th anniversary. Over this period of time we have substantially strenghthened our positions in the market of electrotechnical products. The equipment under the ESTEL brand is successfully operated at industrial enterprises of Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Ireland, China, Israel, Egypt, Cuba and other countries. In the period between 24th and 27th May 2004 the company representatives will take part in international exhibitions on metal working, equipment, technologies and products "Metallurgy. Litmash' 2004" and "Tubes. Russia' 2004".

The exhibitions will be held in Moscow Expo Center, pavilion 'Forum'. Our representatives will be working at the stand of VNIITVCH-ESTEL Ltd joint venture.Booth no. A-07.

03.12 – 05.12.2003, Tallinn. Visit of NTC ‘Privodnaya Tehnika’ (Moscow, Russia) representatives to Estel Pluss AS (Tallinn, Estonia).

The protocol of cooperation work in 2004 was signed up between Estel Pluss AS and NTC ‘Privodnaya Tehnika’ with a view of providing the market with converters for asynchronous and synchronous high-voltage thyristor drives. It was agreed to start cooperation in modernization of high-voltage converters for electric drives on the contemporary component basis and to develop high-voltage control stations for several drives.


Business visit of Swedish enterprises to Estonia

SME-owners from the Kalmar district of Sweden came to Estonia 20-22 November to visit the technical fair INSTRUTEC 2003 in Tallinn and investigated business opportunities in Estonia. The group from the Kalmar district also visited Estonian electric engineering company Estel Pluss AS. In the conference room of the company the presentation of Swedish enterprises as well as several Estonian companies (Estel Pluss AS, Bevi Estel OU, Fabec Elektroonika OU), that have an expertise in cooperation with Swedish companies and are interested in searching partners in Sweden, was held on.

“This is an interesting country in an interesting period of its history,” says Ake Fagelberg, chairman of the Federation of Private Enterprises in Kalmar County. “It is important for us as business people in the Kalmar district to make the most of a new, growing market. The Estonian economy is growing rapidly and business opportunities will increase when Estonia joins the European Union.

 

On November 18-21, 2003 the IX international specialized exhibition Metal-Expo'2003 was held on at the All-Russia Exhibition Center, Moscow, Russia.

This time more than 600 enterprises and companies from 45 countries participated in the exhibition as exhibitors and over 21000 specialists visited the show.

The new Russian-Estonian joint venture VNIITVCH-ESTEL Ltd that delivers technological plants of metal treatment was presented on one of the exhibition stands. VNIITVCH-ESTEL was rewarded with a diploma for active participation in the IX International Specialized Exhibition METAL-EXPO’ 2003.

The presentation of new enterprise VNIITVCH-ESTEL Ltd took place on November 19th 2003 at the exhibition conference hall. Representatives of Russian metal working companies, scientific-research institutes took part in this event. The appearance of the company that provides the Russian market with the complex equipment deliveries was greatly appreciated by our potential customers.

 



On September 8th 2003 a round table on new water purification technologies was held in Tallinn Technical University.

Round table was organized by Tallinn Technical University curators - M. Kivila (R&D departement) and V. Grigorenko (L-Engineering). Following specialists and scientists participated: pro-rector TTU P.Surje, prof. R. Munter (TTU Chemistry Institute), V. Andrejev (councilor of enviroment minister), A. Nedoshivin (AS Silmet), I. Kangro (EAS Technology Agency). Estel was represented by technical director - A. Motyl.
New technologies of water purification, cold plasma method particularly and possible ways of R & D investing were discussed. A new workgroup was established, where the parties are Tallinn Technical University and Estel. It was also decided to get Tomsky University to take part in workgroup.

A protocol of the results of the round table will be made.
Next round table will be held in Sillamae where representatives of Kohtla-Jarve, Narva and Sillamae industrial enterprises will be engaged.

On April 15th-18th 2003 in St. Petersburg at Mikhailovsky Manege international specialized exhibitions "Metallurgy", "Casting", "Tools" and "Metalworking" were held.

Estel participated in exhibition “Metallurgy” – the stand represented the new Russian-Estonian company OOO VNIITVCH-ESTEL, which delivers technological plants of metal treatment. Estel was rewarded with a diploma for active participation in V International specialized exhibition “Metallurgy” and contribution to metallurgy of. Russia. Diploma

The presentation of new daughter enterprise – VNIITVCH-ESTEL Ltd.took place on April 17th 2003 in Mikhailovsky Manege, Saint-Petersburg.

VNIITVCH-ESTEL Ltd. was established in Saint-Petersburg in year 2003 as a scientific and technical enterprise on the basis of All-Russia Vologdin Research Institute of High-Frequency Currents (VNIITVCH, Saint-Petersburg) and Estonian company Estel. Saint-Petersburgs` Electrotechnical University (LETI) provides scientific and technical support. The main goal of the company is to elaborate and deliver technological plants for metals electromagnetic and thermal processing to Russian and CIS companies and to apply new power saving technologies, using induction heating to different branches of industry.

Representatives of over 30 Russian companies, scientific-research universities, consul-general of Estonia in Saint-Petersburg – Mr. A. Pung and representative of EAS (Enterprise Estonia) – Mrs. R. Rannala participated in presentation. As for Estel – this is an important step towards consolidation of its` position on Russian and CIS countries market of electrothermics. 15 projects of equipment delivery to the first-rate enterprises of Russia and Ukraine are worked up. Our target is to develop cooperation with other countries too. A contract on first consignment of equipment to Vietnam has already been signed.

On March 27th and 28th 2003 Estel and Elektriraudtee AS hold a presentation of a new elaboration – static high voltage converter of electric train.

Representatives of over 30 companies participated from Estonia, Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania. Among them potential customers, specialists of research institutes, representatives of exploitation organizations.

The elaboration of the converter is based on real necessities of rolling stock: passenger cars, electric train, electric locomotive etc.
The machine converters, which are in use at the present time does not correspond to several requirements: energetic, reliability, environmental and economic figures.
The main goal of the presentation was to draw attention of potential customers to the new technical possibilities which can be used in rolling stock, exchange views of the specialists and to introduce the exploitation experience on electric trains of Elektriraudtee AS

As for Estel – it was another possibility to confirm its reputation of science intensive and contemporary production elaborator and manufacturer and to enlarge its marketing outlets.

Estel participated in Moscow International Innovation and Investment Salon, which was organized by Russian Industry, Science and Technology Ministry

The exhibition took place in All-Russian Exhibition Centre on February 4-7, 2003. Estel was rewarded with a gold medal and a diploma for developing power supply of passenger coach low-voltage electric power consumers. Two power supplies, manufactured by Estel are already installed and operating on AS Elektriraudtee (Estonian Electric Railway company) passenger coaches.

On Januari 21st 2003 Bureau Veritas Quality International carried out an audit of quality managemet system .

As the result of the audit, Estel was acknowledged to correspond to International Standard
ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

About the International Exhibition - Congress " The Electrotechnologies Of XXI Century "

The International Specialized Exhibition - Congress " Electrotechnologies of XXI century " ("ELTEH-2001") took place in Saint Petersburg on April, 3-6, 2001 in the sixth exhibition hall of Lenexpo.

The organizers were: -the exhibition joint-stock company of Lenexpo; - International and Russian Academies of Electrotechnical Sciences; - the Russian Engineering Academy; - the International Academy of Sciences on Ecology, Human Safety and Nature with support: of- the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation; - Administration of Saint Petersburg; - Northwest Guild of Masters of Science; - the International Union on Electrotechnologies, France; - Inductoheat Corporation, USA.

In spite of the fact that the exhibition was presented with small amount of participants (46), the concrete orientation of subjects has attracted a plenty of the interested visitors that are directly connected to work in the field of electrotechnologies.



Now all over the world electrotechnologies acquire the increasing weight and the importance in real production, the welfare of all mankind depends on the development, increases of efficiency and profitability of electrotechnologies.

In exhibition box of Estel the advertising information on production was presented in Russian, English and German languages, the thyristor frequency converter TPCH--800 of the fourth generation was displayed as well.

The production of Estel Elektroonika OU; (the affiliated company) was presented by electronic devices and publicity leaflets.

Estel educates the specialists

On 8-12 of October 2001 the general course for specialists was taught. The course was on technologies of use, principles of work, maintenance and usage of TPCH series equipment.

The
sertificate was issued for those who listened to the course. Such a sertificate gives the right to maintain and repair the TPCH series equipment.

The other courses may be taught as well.

  On 24th of May the award ceremony of international quality certificate ISO 9001 to Estel Pluss AS company was held in the conference room of Radisson SAS hotel.

The ISO certificate confirms that the quality management system in the company corresponds to international requirements. Consequently the high standards of manufactured goods also are compatible with international standards.

As the Chairman of the Board Sergei Frolov says, the presence of ISO certificate is the indispensable condition for every modern company which aims to gain the adequate place in the international market and constantly keep high competitiveness.
